Saying Farewell in Familiar Spaces: The Benefits of In-Home Pet Euthanasia

River Valley Pet Cremation Society • May 26, 2026

Why In-Home Euthanasia Creates a Beautiful Goodbye

At-home pet euthanasia provides a peaceful, low-stress final transition for your beloved animal companion by eliminating the anxiety of travel and clinical environments. Opting for an in-home service allows your pet to remain in a secure, familiar space while offering your family absolute privacy during a deeply personal time of grief.

For in-home pet euthanasia, we are proud to recommend MNpets, after which we hope you will return to us for private pet cremation services. Mobile veterinarians from MNpets travel to your home in the Twin Cities or Hudson, Wisconsin, our office in Hastings to euthanize pets.

The base price for on-demand in-home euthanasia is $390, with a $60 travel charge to cities more than 20 miles from St. Paul and Minneapolis. For example, a trip to Hastings for euthanasia is $450.

  • Once MNpets receives our email, they will send us a few time options. These on-demand appointments fill up quickly, so time is of the essence. We'll forward that message to you, you will reply to MNpets with your preferred time, then answer any additional questions and provide payment.

  • After your appointment is made with MNpets, please submit our Cremation Authorization Form and let us know what time we can expect you, or whether you will need transportation to our location. We will follow up with any questions or details.
