Aurora Anderson

Aurora was a beautiful Nigerian Dwarf goat. We had her for two short, but wonderful years. I remember how cuddly she was when we brought her home from the breeder. As cuddly as any puppy you can imagine. When we bottle fed her, she would always make eye contact and I could tell that this was making a lasting connection between us. She loved climbing on Little Tikes play equipment and peeking through the window on the slide. Her favorite treats were animal crackers. 

When I would get the brush out she would run over to me and stand very still to get her daily brushing. She also liked getting her rump scratched. She would get excited when I got the leash and harness out because she knew we would be going on a walk. We would walk on the biking trail across the road from our home and we would always hear other users on the trail talking and saying things like “Look, those are goats! He’s taking his goats on a walk!” That would always make me smile and she would get some extra pets from the people she met.

She was the sweetest pet I ever had and I’m going to miss her immensely. Our time with her was too short, but every moment we had was so special.
